Actually, no, you wont see us there unless you can show some proof that this venue is legal. I dont want to be playing in county land or national forest and have my stuff confiscated by Park rangers or Sheriffs!!! _________________

How about a direct link to the info, instead of to the general site? Or just cut and paste it, I did see the map to this play area and it looks to be National Forest land, which is unlawful to use for airsoft. _________________

Would you like me to ask the I.E.D.F staff whether or not they have permission to be there since you dont want to make an account.
War continues to rage on Afghan soil. A small American ground force has invaded and secured enemy headquarters in an isolated mountain cave. While searching the enemy HQ, the team finds important intel which would drastically reduce the combat capability of the enemy and potentially end the war.
Upon transmitting their discovery to the theater commander, he dispatches a helicopter to extract the team with the vital intel in hand, which is now considered to be extremely sensitive cargo. After the team is extracted, the helo began its ascent as it headed back to command; unexpectedly, one enemy sniper grabbed his rifle, took a deep breath and fired a shot that hit and destroyed the tail rotor. He is able to chamber another round and takes one final deep breath before pulling the trigger again, delivering a fatal hit to the head of the pilot.
"For Allah!" he softly whispers with satisfaction.
Conditions aboard the helo have deteriorated and one of the American soldiers with no previous flight experience pulls the dead pilot from his seat and tries to maintain the flight path as steadily as possible. However, the American with no experience piloting a helicopter cannot maintain control without a tail rotor. The helo spun out of control violently for over half a mile before crashing with no survivors. During the descent, the remainder of the team desperately tries to eject the intel and it fears it might be destroyed in a crash. The team is able to transmit a radio call to command to let them know what they were doing and the seriousness of their desperate situation before they finally crash. with no survivors on board.
Now, the main package has become the remains of the helo and the scattered intel. The sniper who watches the helo go down realizes what the Americans had collected and watched as they had tossed it out of the crashing helicopter. He hurries back to his secret base to tell his commander. Both sides are desperate!
Each commander is dispatching ground forces to the region to locate and secure the helo and its scattered contents. The only problem is no one has the exact coordinates of the crash-site and absolutely no clue how to reacquire the valuable intel which was tossed from the helo. They each have a general idea of the crash location, but are equally, if not more, concerned with the materials scattered all over the landscape.
The objective is to take what they know and use whatever means at their disposal to recapture as much as possible before their enemy does. It is now a no holds barred race against time, it's not about who is more powerful, but is about who wants it most. Neutral British mercenaries, also in the region, don't know exactly what is going on, but believe where there is action there is money, so they make their way up to the area to offer their services... Will the war continue? Or could it possibly end? We will only know at the end of the day.
When: Saturday July 24, 2010 1600-2100 hours (afternoon start, full moon)
Where: Big Bear, CA http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=34%C2%B0+17.825'N,+116%C2%B0+48.919'W&ie=UTF8&ll=34.296508,-116.815782&spn=0.029533,0.05579&t=h&z=15
We will be starting this OP at 1600 sharp! Please do not be late, registration and chrono will begin at 1430, OP briefing at 1530.
Proper introduction is required to play in this game, if you have not introduced yourself, click on this link: http://www.iedf-airsoft.com/forum/index.php?board=9.0
Note: British mercenaries (PMCs) have no magazine limits on their load out, they are allowed to run hi-caps and drum mags on non SAW weapons. They are also a neutral force unless hired by someone. False money and points can be earned throughout the game by completing objectives and collecting pieces of intel, this can be used to hire the British PMCs for a certain length of time. PMCs are not to be engaged unless they engage first.

This still tells me too little, How much land are we talking about? Is it all privately owned land? is it national Forest land? If so then simple permission from some ranger isnt enough, National Forest land has strict rules, and airsoft guns are considered firearms and you cant have firearms on the land.
I said this to you the day you told me about the games up there.
I spend too much money on my gear and guns to have them taken away because I played at an illegal venue. _________________

Yep!! You could have found yourself in alot of trouble here if they had held the op and the forest service had caught you!!! Everyone would have been facing fines, confiscation of their airsoft guns and more!!!
I went to the advertisement they put up in socal and flagged it for the admins there to check it out. ORCA responded and he and myself set about looking into the matter. Xanthais also got involved and Officer Mark Snyder (Note the IEDF kids spelled the man's name wrong in the bogus letter they created, which is scary in itself that they went to such depths which could get them into even more trouble since they basically forged a Government document!!!)
Trust Uncle Oberst never to steer you wrong on an event being legal or questionable!!! I do know how the California system of where you can and cant play works. _________________
